AFI KLM E&M announces adaptive component support for the Nile Air A320 fleet

AFI KLM E&M and Nile Air has announced the conclusion of a dedicated Component Support agreement for the Egyptian airline’s fleet of 6 A320-200s. The solutions package designed by AFI KLM E&M will cover an extensive range of components, including various key models such as accessories and LRUs for CFM56-5B and IAE V2500 engines.

Proven expertise on the A320 product

AFI KLM E&M has a long and proud history with the A320, having developed extensive expertise in every aspect of this aircraft, notably in the field of component maintenance and repair. Given its Airline-MRO profile, it is able to capitalize on its dual technical and operational knowledge of the product in order to refine support services which align perfectly with the specific challenges and expectations of operators, in particular the need for optimal component availability. As such, in addition to repairs, the services provided to Nile Air will include access to a spare parts pool and the availability of a Main Base Kit (MBK) within local reach of the customer’s facilities.

Over the course of its previous collaborations with Nile Air in Component/Engine/APU support, AFI KLM E&M has demonstrated the superior levels of quality and reliability offered by its services, to the customer’s great satisfaction.

Mohamed Nagy, CEO of Nile Air, underlined

“the proximity and positive relations between our two groups. During our previous co-operations, the AFI KLM E&M teams have proven their ability to design and implement high-performance solutions adapted to our precise needs. There’s no doubt that their A320 component support will bring tangible added value to our operations, helping to ensure optimal availability for our fleet.”

Géry Mortreux, EVP Air France Industries, added:

“We’re very proud that Nile Air is calling in our services once again, and are fully committed to providing top-flight support to help sustain the development of this young and dynamic airline. Nile Air’s choice is all the more gratifying because it illustrates our teams’ ability to build quality relationships, on a foundation of confidence and attentiveness over the long term.”
