AFI KLM E&M Announces Four Leadership Appointments and EVP Transition

Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) announces that Géry Mortreux, Executive Vice President of Air France Industries, will be leaving Air France-KLM effective May 1st, 2026, after nearly 10 years in the role.

In conjunction with this transition, AFI KLM E&M is pleased to announce four appointments for key management roles.

Vincent d’Andrea appointed Executive Vice President of Air France Industries

From May 1, 2026, Vincent d’Andrea will report to Anne Rigail, Chief Executive Officer of Air France, and will continue to represent all Maintenance activities within the Air France Executive Committee.

Graduated engineer from École Centrale de Paris, Vincent d’Andrea began his career at Air France in 1998.

After leading the subsidiary CRMA, he joined AFI KLM E&M in 2014 as Group Component Product Director. Since 2018, he has been SVP Engineering & Airframe Maintenance.

Gilles Mercier appointed SVP Airframe Maintenance

Gilles Mercier will leave Barfield, our subsidiary based in the USA, and his CEO position which he has held for three years. He will take over Vincent d’Andrea’s role as SVP Airframe Maintenance from July 1, 2026.

Gilles Mercier joined the group in 2008 and has held several positions in the Engineering & Maintenance sector, including Head of Costing and Pricing, Engine Business Unit Manager, Chief Transformation Officer, and Chief of Staff to the EVP Engineering & Maintenance, before joining Barfield in 2019.

Tommaso Auriemma appointed Barfield’s CEO

Barfield has appointed Tommaso Auriemma as Chief Executive Officer, from July 1, 2026. He brings more than 26 years of experience in the global MRO industry.

Since 2021 he is the Vice President Sales for the Asia-Pacific region for AFI KLM E&M and based in Singapore, he will relocate to Florida to lead Barfield from its headquarters.

Tommaso Auriemma began his career in Italy, in component shops and in base and line maintenance before moving to France, where he held executive roles in engineering and procurement.

He later served for six years as CEO of Aerotechnic Industries in Morocco, overseeing base and line maintenance operations. 

Magali Jobert appointed Vice President Sales Asia Pacific

Magali Jobert began her career when she was 16 and joined Air France’s Training Center to become an aircraft mechanic.

Specialized in operational maintenance, industrial customer support and strategy, her career includes significant leadership roles, most recently as VP Component Asset Manager & Aerostructure, where she focused on strategic asset management for industrial clients.

On July 1, 2026, she will start a new chapter in her career in the Asia Pacific region.
