APOC minimises its ecological footprint with opening of new warehouse facility

APOC Aviation has opened a new warehouse in the Netherlands. Based on the same campus as their existing facility between Schiphol and Rotterdam, APOC has added a further 2,500m2 of warehouse, technical support space and offices. The new premises benefit from green technology features and allow for future expansion as APOC is set to double its stock hub capability and workforce over the next five years.

The new warehouse implements green technology throughout with electric temperature control and high-spec insulation to reduce energy consumption. The building also has solar panels installed to leverage sustainable energy use.

James Cobbold, Director Sales at Willis Lease said :

“We are honored to support industry leaders like Arena and APOC and that they entrusted their asset with our Part 145 MRO services and dedicated disassembly team at our newly refurbished hangar. With our experienced and dedicated engineers along with APOC’s expertise and industry knowledge, the project has been a success, providing APOC with specific components when required,”.

The part-out of an aircraft is a green process as it extends component lifecycles, thereby reducing the ecological footprint of parts.

Arjan de Jong, Vice President Operations says :

"We foresee significant growth as the business develops trading activity worldwide, and this new facility not only complements our business ethos but also future-proofs APOC’s ambitious programme of narrow-body teardowns. We have the scope to scale up operations and better support our customers with ever-faster deliveries underpinned by our close proximity to Schiphol airport.”
