CFM International continues to invest in its open maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) ecosystem, building both capability and capacity to meet the forecasted ramp in LEAP engine shop visits, including five-year commitments of more than $1 billion USD by GE Aerospace and more than €1 billion EUR by Safran Aircraft Engines.
“CFM is investing heavily to ensure we have the ample capability in place to support LEAP engine aftermarket requirements,” said Gaël Méheust, president and CEO of CFM International. “In 2025 we inaugurated new facilities in Belgium, India, Mexico, and Poland. In 2026 we’re bringing additional capacity online, including recent expansions in Belgium and Mexico.”
Méheust continued: “We understand the need to ensure the fastest possible shop visits with the lowest possible cost. To that end, we are accelerating the development of high-yield repairs and working with suppliers to improve delivery performance and expand spare parts inventory. We are also maturing our engine and shop manuals to minimize the need for part repair or replacement where we can.”
