EVA Air to Purchase Five LEAP-1A Spare Engines for Up to $131 Million

EVA Air has approved the purchase of five LEAP-1A30S spare engines from CFM International for a total price of up to US$131 million.

The airline’s board approved the transaction on August 13, 2026, with the purchase intended to support EVA Air’s operational requirements.

The engines will provide additional spare capacity for EVA Air’s LEAP-1A-powered fleet.

The transaction was negotiated based on market pricing, and CFM International is not a related party to EVA Air.
