GA Telesis Engine Services (?GATES?) and AirAsia India, the leading Indian low-cost airline based in Bengaluru, signed a contract covering the airline?s Airbus A320 fleet. The agreement covers maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the CFM56-5B fleet and includes leased engine support and LLP management. The first engine will be inducted into GATES in early April. In addition, GA Telesis also signed an engine LRU/accessories repair and exchange pool agreement to support the airline?s line maintenance requirements.
AirAsia India operates a fleet of 28 Airbus A320ss (including five A320 NEOs) with the capacity to serve over a million passengers every month, connecting seventeen destinations across the country. ?We are delighted to have tied up with GATES as we believe they will be good long-term partners backed by a highly responsive, technically strong team.
