HAECO marks completion of 2000th landing gear overhaul

HAECO Landing Gear Services has announced the successful completion of the 2000th landing gear overhaul at its facility in Xiamen, marking a significant milestone that reinforces its commitment to excellence in the aviation industry.

Since the inaugural overhaul in April 2009, LGS has consistently set benchmarks in quality and reliability, achieving its 100th overhaul in September 2012 and its 1000th in August 2020. In November 2024, the team is elated to deliver the 2000th landing gear overhaul, which includes over 500 Boeing 777 gears, 500 Boeing 747 gears (with more than 200 Boeing 747-8 gears) and 100 E190 gears completed over the years.

LGS operates from a state-of-the-art, 10,000 sqm open-floor facility strategically located in Xiamen. This facility is fully equipped with advanced systems and equipment for landing gear overhaul, ensuring that all services adhere to the highest safety and operational standards. LGS boasts capabilities for various Boeing models, including the 737, 747, 767, 777 and 787, as well as Airbus A320s and Liebherr E190s. As an authorised Boeing OEM landing gear overhaul facility, LGS proudly delivered the world’s first Boeing 787 landing gear in September 2020 and is currently developing overhaul capabilities for C909 landing gears. These advancements further bolster HAECO’s competitive edge on the global stage. The company’s certified repair station approvals have expanded rapidly, now encompassing prestigious certifications including CAAC, EASA, FAA, CAAS and JCAB.

“Our success is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our team and the trust our partners and customers place in HAECO,” said Sandra Nieuwenhuijzen, Group Director of Component and Engine Services at HAECO. “Looking ahead, we are committed to enhancing our service offerings, including HVOF capability, and we aim to expand our landing gear capabilities to accommodate more next-generation aircraft types, such as the Airbus A350. As the aviation sector continues to evolve, HAECO remains steadfast in its mission to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the dynamic demands of the industry.”
