TrueNoord took delivery of their fourth Embraer E195-E2 at São José dos Campos in Brazil. The next-generation jet is the latest of six TrueNoord E2s being leased to Canadian operator, Porter Airlines. The fifth and sixth aircraft will be delivered later in 2023.
Anne-Bart Tieleman, TrueNoord CEO, comments, “We are pleased to add Embraer’s most advanced aircraft to our fleet and expect more to follow in the future. These E2 jets complement our existing portfolio of 39 Embraer E1s, offering our customers a range of high-performing, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly E-Jets to fulfil diverse requirements.” The acquisition of these factory new aircraft is part of TrueNoord’s long-term strategy to invest in new generation aircraft in the 50-150 seat category.
“Embraer has been an important strategic partner to TrueNoord for many years. This transaction further establishes the whole Embraer family of E-Jets as a cornerstone of our portfolio of modern regional aircraft. We appreciate the ongoing support of their professional team and look forward to further positive collaboration as our business, and fleet, continues on its upwards trajectory.”
Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said, “TrueNoord is an important lessor for Embraer on the E1 program; it’s good to see that partnership continue to deepen with this move into Embraer’s E2 family. Another strong endorsement for the E2 program from a world class player.”
