HAECO Group has announced that Ms Sandra Nieuwenhuijzen is appointed as Group Director Component and Engine Services, effective 24 April 2023. She will succeed Mr Angus Barclay who will be retiring after 35 years of service with the Swire Group.
Ms Nieuwenhuijzen joins HAECO from Sigma Aerospace in Australia, where she has been Chief Executive Officer since 2021. She has extensive management experience in the aviation industry, with leadership roles in maintenance operations, supply chain, business improvement and compliance in the Netherlands and Australia. Ms Nieuwenhuijzen graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and has an Executive Master of Business Administration. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
As a member of the HAECO Group Leadership Team, Ms Nieuwenhuijzen will take ownership of HAECO’s component and engine businesses to steer continued success for this segment. She will lead diverse talents globally to drive strategy and performance across multiple companies and create a strong vision for HAECO
