Klatt Works and AMETEK Ameron have signed a new partnership agreement

Klatt Works, Inc., manufacturer of ?SAVED?, the world?s only fully integrated augmented reality display inside a commercial aircraft crew oxygen mask, and AMETEK Ameron, a leading manufacturer and overhaul facility for aviation safety products, are pleased to announce a new partnership to perform installation of SAVED into customer oxygen masks with full mask overhauls, or as OEM equipment.

The SAVED (Smoke Assured Vision Enhanced Display) system is a high-resolution display fully integrated into pilot and co-pilot emergency oxygen masks.ÿ SAVED provides real-time imaging of the aircraft?s HUD and forward-looking cameras inside the oxygen mask.ÿ This affords the crew the ability to fly, navigate, and land the aircraft even in extreme smoke emergencies.

Adam Brammer, Ameron Divisional Vice President & Business Manager, stated that, ?We strongly believe that this partnership will provide the global customer base with a product that will hugely improve the safe operation of their aircraft. Ameron?s strong legacy of design, development, and manufacture of aviation safety products, as well as our high-class global service footprint, complements the capability and innovation that Klatt Works and the SAVED system provides.?

Nathan Klatt, President & CEO of Klatt Works, stated that, ?Klatt Works has been developing this product for several years and expects the initial STC on the 777 to be granted before the end of 2022.ÿ We look forward to additional aircraft STCs for SAVED and to working with Ameron to provide a high standard of customer service.?
